Independent Analysis. Grounded in Political Science. Accessible to Anyone.
Diplomatik explores the complexities of international politics with a non-aligned mindset, drawing on diverse worldviews to offer nuanced and balanced analyses. Our mission is to provide valuable insight for those seeking to understand global dynamics beyond surface-level narratives. Many analysis platforms are either oriented toward specific cultural or ideological audiences or, directly or indirectly, embedded in institutional contexts that reproduce particular government or systemic interests. These entanglements often influence the lens through which political realities are interpreted and, in turn, shape the analytical outcomes they produce. In contrast, Diplomatik seeks to approach political realities without prior commitment to any particular outcome or framing.
The analysis on Diplomatik is grounded in the methodologies, theories and concepts of political science. The specific framework is chosen according to the question at hand.
Diplomatik is intended for readers who want serious but accessible analysis of international affairs, whether they come from academic, professional, or general-interest backgrounds. The goal is to produce work that a researcher in Moscow, a policymaker in Berlin, a diplomat in Beijing, a curious citizen in New York or a corporate executive in Doha could each read and find valuable, even where they disagree with the conclusions. Providing accurate analysis of political realities for a global audience spanning different ideological and political traditions is the top priority.
Diplomatik is an independent platform for political analysis founded by Joshua, who holds a B.A. in Geography and an M.A. in Political Science, with a specialization in international relations, security policy, and conflict studies. It was born out of a sustained intellectual interest in how international political realities can be understood more clearly, rigorously, and beyond inherited ideological frames.
Diplomatik is focused on international politics and not constrained to any specific geography. The aim is to understand the larger systems and forces shaping global affairs today.
Rather than reproducing surface-level headlines, Diplomatik examines the deeper strategic, political, and historical dynamics behind global developments. Complexity is treated as a starting point, not an obstacle.
Diplomatik is guided by genuine curiosity and open ended inquiry. We do not aim to push any particular ideological or institutional agenda and aim for independent analysis grounded in the principles and methodology of political science.
